Looking at the TV special of GMA-7, Charice: Home for Valentine’s the international singing sensation Charice Pempengco gave a lot of viewers goosebumps. The girl was simply amazing! All throughout the show she just occupied the whole stage and claimed it as her own.
While she sang you would really realize that she has grown a lot as an artist and she exuded rare confidence that only an established international star would have. As she sang her signature songs like Pyramid and Halo, you would really feel that she sang from her heart. If television viewers who just watched at home felt her presence, how much more those who were really in attendance.
GMA 7 outdid themselves in the TV special Charice: Home for Valentine’s. they couldn’t have chosen a much bigger star to do their Valentine Special. What was amazing was how Charice was so down to earth when singing. You would feel her love for her fans and for the country she represents. One can’t help but feel a certain connection with her as she shared her innermost thoughts and feelings especially during the times when she was just starting out.
In one of her spiels, she recounted the painful memories of the past where she and her family didn’t have enough money to survive so she would sing in fiestas and amateur singing competitions just so they could have something to help them in their daily needs. And all throughout her hard climb to success, her Mom was always with her.
And now, gone are the days where she would need to pray hard so that she will win the contest to live decently. She now has everything that she wants and much more. Charice has finally made it.
