Showbiz news in the Philippines is full of celebrities who are either getting married or is on the family way. The newest pinoy celebrity who is on the family way is Jana Roxas who is a Kapuso being a member of the Starstruck group with Jackie Rice. Jana admitted that she is now 2 months pregnant courtesy of her non-showbiz boyfriend who runs his own business.
Jana told the gma showbiz reporters that she is excited and happy to see the newest addition to their family and this pregnancy did not come as a surprise. She said that she and her boyfriend has been planning to have a family already and in fact they already set December 8 as their wedding date even before she got pregnant. But because she is now pregnant the wedding may have to wait until she gives birth.
When asked if she is going to turn her back on show business, she said that she will continue to accept shows if there are offers. Even if family will now be her priority, showbiz will remain as an important part of her life. Although she admits that this will be a different phase in her career as she will now become a different Jana – more mature and ready to face more challenging roles.
Even if becoming pregnant did not come as a surprise she didn’t know that she was until she went to her OB-Gyne to have herself immunized for cervical cancer. That is when she found out that she is indeed two months pregnant. Showbiz stars have been setting an example to their women fans to have themselves immunized against cervical cancer that is why she went to St. Luke’s to have her immunization.
Jana Roxas is a member of the Starstruck Batch 3 and has been given enough projects doing supporting roles to the different Kapuso stars.
