Finally, three-time box office king John Lloyd admitted the real score between him and Shaina Magdayao making him another hot celebrity in the news.
The two ABS CBN talents were rumored around to be dating and were photographed together sometime in Boracay but denied the issue. Rumors never stopped though and speculations kept coming so John Lloyd finally decided put an end to it to save Shaina from negative judgements.
“Yes it’s us,” he admitted to Boy Abunda on The Buzz interview on June 20.
John Lloyd broke his silence because he said people are already taking advantage of the people involved in the issue. He said Shaina did not know about his admission of their relationship in public but he will not allow people to judge her and stain her reputation if the issues keep coming.
John Lloyd also addressed the issues between him and pop star princess Sarah Geronimo and actress and TV host Ruffa Guttierez. He denied the rumors around pinoy showbiz that he told Sarah to wait and he would woo her. “That’s not true. Hindi mo iyon sinasabi o pinapangako sa isang babae”, he explained. He added that he and Sarah are okay and he has high respect for Sarah and her parents.
However John Lloyd confirmed having relationship with Ruffa with the statement, “Yeah, it was a very special relationship.” According to him, Shaina and Ruffa are now okay after a misunderstanding between the two.
If John Lloyd said that his relationship with Ruffa Guttierez did not overlap with Shaina, Ruffa claims otherwise. In an interview with her on TV 5’s Paparazzi where she is a co-host, she answered questions about her relationship with John Lloyd.
“When I found out that they are officially a couple already…inamin naman sa akin ni JL yun. And we tried naman our best to say goodbye finally,” she explained. But otherwise she exclaims that she is happy that John Lloyd finally admitted their relationship.
“I’m just so happy na every time he says something about me, it’s always with respect. Kasi yun naman ang agreement namin na when we decided to have our final closure, na walang siraan, don’t say bad things about each other.”
