Gretchen Baretto says that she salutes Angelica Panganiban when the latter tearfully asked forgiveness from her when interviewed by Boy Abunda last Sunday at the Buzz. Their rift began when Gretchen’s naughty comments about wanting to see solo pictures of Derek during his trip with Angelica to South Africa to watch the World Cup.
Angelica’s outburst in her Twitter account about the Gretchen’s playful antics is perfectly understandable. No girlfriend in the world would like to hear catty comments from anybody, right? Especially if these comments came from an icon in philippine showbiz like Gretchen Baretto who seemingly could have any man she wants. Afterall, she did hook up with one of the richest men in the Philippines – Tonyboy Cojuangco.
But now, all is well that ends well. Because of caring and responsible friends of both ladies in the pinoy showbiz circle, the issue has been ironed out. Angelica said that she realized that Gretchen is a beautiful person inside and out especially when Derek told her that La Greta is really a good person.
Everybody was at the edge of their seats when Boy Abunda asked Angelica if there was anything she wanted to say to Gretchen. So when Angelica said that hopefully it is not yet too late to start a friendship with Gretchen everybody in the studio felt her sincerity. Gretchen must have felt it as well because she said that she admired Angelica’s humility to accept that she has said some wrong things and is now asking for forgiveness.
It is exciting to see how these friendship would turn out especially that both ladies are strong willed and will really say what is on their mind. Will they really click as friends? Or will this be just like any other friendship in philippines showbiz – here today, gone tomorrow.
