Now that Willie Revillame is back on TV, will he be getting the same bad rep that he has been getting? Controversy hounded the host ever since and it seems that he is still going to face a lot of challenges ahead. But one thing positive about Willie is that he seems to bounce back from whatever challenge he is currently facing.
After about a month of being off the air because of the controversies that hounded him after Willing Willie’s Wil Time Bigtime segment allowed a 6 year old boy to dance on the stage lewdly, Willie is now back. They changed the set totally and according to their business unit head Jay Montelibano, the show is 85% new. There’s a lot of new games, new concepts and of course who could miss the new name.
It was Willing Willie before but now the show is called Wil Time Bigtime. Mr. Montelibano said that this is also in preparation for expansion of TV5’s viewership abroad. He also added that they are grateful to TV5 for not letting them go and for supporting them all the way.
At the height of the controversy, there were a lot of sponsors who pulled out their ads from the show but now Mr. Montelibano said that there’s a lot of new ones coming in. The staff and crew of Wil Time Bigtime promises to abide by the changes that has been demanded of them and vows to continue entertaining the TV viewing public and at the same time inspire them through the new segments of the show.
